Longest X-ray treatment for cancer ever - 56 hours!

Sorry this is hard to read, I transcribed it below. This was the longest X-ray treatment for cancer on record. I can't believe this ended well, but I could not find any information on how she ended up.

Akron Weekly Pioneer Press; Jun 22, 1923

New York - Miss Ann Ellin of Spring Valley, N.Y., a woman cancer patient at Bellevue hospital has undergone fifty-six hours of continuous exposure under 250,000 volts of x-rays. The patient suffered no burns and was able to eat and sleep throughout the treatment. Dr. I Seth Hirsch, head of the x-ray laboratories said this marks the test of a new method which gave the rays a radiation that would kill the cancerous cells and leave the healthy ones unharmed.
